Gas and Dash

This week, as I mentioned in this post, has been a good one! Although the weather report the entire week was for rain, we had surprisingly nice days, with 50 degree temps and sometimes even clear skies! This is why I love living in the Bay Area, where it is always spring!

I went for an awesome run in the hills.
The sky cleared up midway through and I had a great view of San Francisco.
I love it when that happens.

I went to a sale, but I didn't find any good deals!
Yes, that says $4.29, and actually this photo was taken on Monday.
On Thursday, the same gas was $4.49. Sheesh.

The Broski and I went to see the Kaiser Chiefs at the Fillmore.
We can't go to the City without partaking in some excellent food.
Today's choice: Pho and Vietnamese Coffee at Pho 2000!

I bought new running shoes
New meets old.
According to Running Ahead the old ones had 719 miles on them.

One of my biggest pet peeves?
Unleashed dogs.
People that don't follow rules.
Or know how to read signs.
(That says "ON". Excuse the paper in the way)

I took a plane ride. Wheeeee.
I got to see Colorado and Utah.

My friend and I wandered around town exploring.

Restaurant or strip club?
You choose.

Doesn't everyone need one of these?
(in case you can't see, it's a singing toothbrush)

I discovered the joy of....wait for it....
Serve Yourself frozen yogurt!
Where have you been all my life!?

To work off said yogurt, my friend and I ran the Diva Dash 5k
It was great!
More on that later.

How was your week? Have you ever tried Vietnamese coffee? Have you ever had self serve frozen yogurt (if so, what is your favorite combination)?

  1. Yes, I have had self-serve fro yo, but only when traveling as I can not find a place that has it here in Minneapolis! I just love lots and lots of toppings! Yum!

I've never had Vietnamese coffee! And my week was decent - not stellar, not bad. Can't complain!

And I really hate it when owners have their dogs off leash, too. I am not comfortable around dogs, so when one comes running at me on a run, I totally panic!

  2. Self-serve fro yo is my favorite. I'm a big fan of the White Chocolate Mousse and I normally put raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries in it or I'll just have it plan.

I'm always very cautious when I take the dogs off leash somewhere (when it's allowed). Even if I have them on the leash I always try to get off the path with them when someone approaches so we don't disrupt people trying to walk or run past.

  3. You had a full week! Mmm, I love Vietnamese coffee. Haven't seen self-serve fro yo yet. I look forward to hearing about your 5k! I did a virtual 10k this weekend that was really rough... probably report on it tomorrow, I'm just glad it's done!

  4. Wow that is a full week! Mine was not nearly as much fun. Good on 'ya!

  5. I think my biggest pet peeve is owners who let their dogs run around wild, ESPECIALLY when there's a "Keep your pet on a leash!" sign. I am NOT comfortable around dogs, but they seem to especially love to jump on me. I always tell owners "Could you reign your dog in? I'm allergic" even though I'm not allergic, because I feel it's a nice way to say hey, I want this dog away from me. But often I get a "It's okay, they're hypoallergenic!" response, which makes me want to scream. That's NOT an appropriate response!

  6. I'm a self-serve fro yo addict. I try really hard to stick with fruit, but sometimes I just go for the major chocolate toppings.

My big pet peeve is when people don't pick up after their dogs. There's an apartment complex near my house that allows dogs and I can't tell you how many piles of poop I see in the area. Horrible.

Your week seemed like it was great! Off to read your race recap.

  7. That looks like a pretty great week. And you have seriously never had self-serve yogurt? They're all over the place down here. There's even one around the corner from my house that we want to sometimes. We feel less guilty when we walk.
