Wine and Love (4)

I have not done one of these in a while! In case you forgot, or you haven't done this before, here is the scoop. You list what things this week are making you reach for the wine and what things you are loving! Easy, right? You can go over to Nora's site for a linkup!

Things that are making me reach for the wine this week:

- People who walk three abreast on the bike trail and don't even consider moving when you try to pass by them, turning sideways and trying to be as skinny as possible.

- Drivers who drive 55 in the fast lane. In their Prius. So they can get optimal gas mileage for their car. I am all for you getting good gas mileage, but do it in the right hand lane please.

- The unknown. The fear caused by it. This may actually warrant a martini. Or a shot of whiskey.

- Pet hair. I went to visit my brother and now I look like a walking lint brush advertisement.

- That BMW driver on the freeway. Why is it that they are always jerks?

Things that I am loving this week:

- Visiting my brother and his girlfriend. We had a great time hanging out, cooking, eating and catching up on Kitchen Nightmares.

- Spending quality time with K & A. Every time I go and see them, that little girl is bigger and bigger! I feel like time is flying by when I see her!

- Running in a new place each day! I like to map out different runs depending on where I am staying, so I ran in 4 different places this week! It keeps it from getting boring, even if it does take a bit more time to plan.

- Going grocery shopping. Yes, I love it. It makes me happy to buy food, prepare dishes and eat them! When I am having a bad day, cooking is my stress release.

- Being in the Bay Area. Near my friends and family and Trader Joes.

- Spring. Or whatever this is. It was 70 degrees today.

Overall, this has been a great week! I have more plans to see friends this weekend so it's shaping up to be another great week again!

How was your week? What made you want a glass of wine? What do you love about your week?

  2. Whenever people refuse to move over on the running path, I not-so-subtley bump into them. If they're not going to move, they're going to get a sweaty hug from me! Maybe that'll teach them to be more considerate next time. Yes, I might be a little bit evil.

  3. I am right there with you on the slow drivers in the fast lane....I just don't understand it at all. I had someone pull out in front of me the other day while I was in the fast lane going 20km over the speed limit and they were doing EXACTLY the speed limit. They proceeded to not speed up at all either. Drove me nuts!

Love Kitchen Nightmares! Don't understand how some of those people own restaurants though

  5. I love this! I was running the other day and a guy had his dog on a leash. They were taking up the entire path and just standing there. He didn't move an inch when he saw me running up! I almost had to run in the grass next to the 6 foot wide path to pass him. So rude! Enjoy the sun and the warmth:)

  8. I can't STAND when people do that on paths and sidewalks. Asses!

My week has been good, but not too productive which is a bit of a downer.

  9. I am glad you have been able to see as many family & friends!! That is awesome as you never know where life will lead you, so soak up the family/friend time while you can!

Wine: This is a dumb wine, but I had 4 e-books and one physical book become available this week. There is no way I could read 5 books in 3 weeks. :( I guess I will just have to pick one and re-request the rest and hope they don't all become available AT THE SAME TIME again.

Love: Even though I am really busy between work and studying, I am still making time to read for pleasure. I find that my mind needs to read something non-finance related or I struggle to fall asleep.

  10. Wine: Waiting for news. Argh! I'm so impatient.
Love: Booking a ticket to Boston, having a couple of great classes with lots of student engagement this week, working out with a good friend.
